“New lunch, snack guidelines are meant to battle childhood obesity”

“Dartmouth High School athletes Patrick Condon, 16, and James Rider, 17, believe they generally are healthy eaters.
But ‘I have a friend, he eats “Little Debs” like every day,’ Rider said. ‘His mom’s getting on him for it.’
So are the state and federal governments, which — thanks to spiking concerns over childhood obesity — are making junk foods’ days in school cafeterias numbered.
