The Kids’ Safe and Healthful Foods Project (KSHF) is a collaboration of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and The Pew Charitable Trusts (PCT).  HealthySchoolFoodsNow.org (The Site) serves as the main Web platform for this collaboration. Except as otherwise provided herein (including the section below titled: “Third Party Services”), users of HealthySchoolFoodsNow.org agree and are subject to the terms of these policies.

Partners and Third Party Services

KSHF also participates as a leader in the preventobesity.net  network, a website launched by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to harness the power of online networks to reverse the childhood obesity epidemic.  As a registered “leader” on the preventobesity.net site, KSHF has access to information regarding preventobesity.net users as well as interactive tools and applications (“Third Party Services”) that can advance KSHF’s mission. At any time, KSHF may choose to make Third Party Services available on this site.  Please be aware that each of preventobesity.net’s Third Party Services, like all such services, is subject to its own terms of use, privacy and other policies. Users of these Third Party Services are subject to the unique terms of these services and will be notified and required to agree to these policies prior to use of such services.

General Terms

By using this Web Site, you accept our policies and practices as outlined below.  If you are unwilling to accept these terms and conditions of use, we ask that you not use the Web Site.  We reserve the right to modify, alter or otherwise update these policies at any time.  If these policies change, we will post the revised  policies  here and your continued use of the Site will mean you accept those changes.

Privacy Policy

The KSHF site is principally administered by The Pew Charitable Trusts. The information that we obtain through your use of the Web Site, whether through the registration process or otherwise, is subject to this privacy statement.  Unless otherwise disclosed in this privacy statement, PCT will only share your personally identifiable information (such as name and address) with third parties under the following limited circumstances:

  • Third parties providing services on our behalf: PCT may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf.  Examples include, without limitation, hosting and administering this Web Site, analyzing data using tracking tools including, but not limited to, web beacons, cookies, registration information, log files and sending communications on our behalf.   These third parties may have access to this Web Site’s user information, including personally identifiable information, in order to perform these functions on our behalf.
  • Legal protection: PCT may transfer and disclose information about our users, including personally identifiable information, and may use IP addresses to identify users in cooperation with internet service providers or law enforcement agencies, to comply with a legal obligation, at the request of governmental authorities conducting an investigation, to verify or enforce compliance with the policies governing the Web Site and applicable laws, or to protect the legal rights, interests, or safety of PCT, the Web Site, our users or others.  This privacy statement does not apply to any information that you may disclose publicly in user forums.  PCT bears no responsibility for any action, inaction, or policies of any third parties who collect information that users may disclose in user forums or other public areas of this Web Site.
